JUSTVOTE.org -----------
JUSTVOTE.ORG ONLINE VOTER ENGAGEMENT SINCE 2004
ABOUT:
JustVote.org helped 300,000 people register to vote in the 2004 elections spending $60k. Based in San Francisco, www.justvote.org is a non-partisan citizen initiative that provides a fast and easy way online to register to vote and engage others. For first-time, minorities and under-served voters, registering to vote is the most critical step on the path to the polls to vote on election day. Justvote.org's use of traditional and viral online marketing is increasing our nation's voter base, voter turnout and voter engagement to strengthen our democracy.
HISTORY:
Joshua Rosen in 2004, frustrated with low voter turnout, used online tools to provide a fast and easy way to help 300,000 people register to vote and vote - and empowered them to engage others to do the same. Since 2004 JustVote.org growth in popularity is due to its simplicity and ease of use.
2008 OBJECTIVE:
JustVote.org helped close to 300,000 people register to voter for the 2008 election and engaged them to help us reach 1 million voters to Get-Out-the-Vote on election day.
